weird seeing Connolly go to Lincoln, so he's been on loan the last few years in the championship and now hes gone down another division, should have just realised him

why? it would cost us money to pay up his contract and i'd assume lincoln are paying at least some of his wage for the season. every penny counts

Sounds like will have to give fleetwood a player on loan...
Yep, there’s another article saying the same thing : https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/...ue-side-everton-fulfil-loan-promise-1-9964342

I would say offer him a choice from Alex Denny, Antony Evans or Morgan Feeney

Maybe a drop in division but Lincoln a better team than Bolton
Certainly a better team than Bolton are now. But I don't know how you can say for certain that Lincoln are a better team than Bolton were last season. They've had a decent start to Division 1 and were very good in Division 2 last season. But there is a gulf in quality to the Championship in which every game is incredibly difficult.

But the fact is that Connolly, over the last 3 seasons, has had a total of 5 loans with 4 different clubs in the championship, racking up 80 appearances at that level. Division 1 is a backwards move for him at this stage in his career.

Hopefully the lad does well there this year and earns himself a move to a championship club next season. He certainly seems to have the qualities to do well at that level and has a great eye for goal for a defender/defensive midfielder.

Great move for Callum that, decent club, doing well and play decent football.

Yeah, must say it was a disappointment to see he's dropped down a level, especially as he seemed to be doing ok in the Championship. Maybe this is more a 'loan to buy' option than a 'loan to prepare for 1st team' :(

He probably wants a left back, the others would not be suitable.
Fair enough, I’m not aware of where Fleetwood are weak, but he doesn’t say he wants a left back and although Connolly has played there , in the past few seasons he’s played more midfield/ right back than left back games . Matty Foulds could fit the bill as a left back but I’m not sure he’s down for a loan, and Gibson won’t go there. In the end, we say who’s available, so it’s up to him.

Perhaps as hes not had any permanent offers from champio ship clubs + has been moved around on his loans (positionally) he fancies league 1 where he starts each week and aims to be one of their best players...

Could be a good way to earn a move.
