He says:
"Well, we can have him for two years. We're in the process of building an excellent relationship with Everton. Otherwise this wouldn't have been possible."
Bodes well for any Dendoncker deal you'd suspect? Oh and whilst you're here what are your thoughts on some of the other young players there. Remember watching the UEFA Youth League a few years ago and they had a winger called Kawaya that was good? And some very young keeper, Svilar or something.
Yes you'd think so; plus it will also help that Lukaku had a good Everton experience since he's an ambassador of Anderlecht and he regularly visits the kids etc so that's also a positive (plus he's friends with Dendoncker).
Anderlecht youth teams are always excellent. I normally watch them in Youth CL (it's cheap and friendly); in 15-16 they beat Barcelona etc. Problem is progressing to the first team - you have to win the title every year (doesn't happen but if you don't you're probably getting sacked) so a lot of these players don't get a chance (unless exceptional talents like Tielemans, Kompany, VDB ...). In the case of Kawaya; he was excellent, but he has been plagued with loads of injuries that have lead to him being sold this season to KVM (I honestly believe he'll do good there). His highlight so far was his role in the 3-3 at the Emirates a couple of years ago.
And Svillar is excellent but he's a bit of a giant idiot. He demanded that he'd be first choice GK of Anderlecht this year (he's only 17 years old). So Anderlecht said as a compromise; that isn't possible you aren't ready, but we're willing to grant you a loan. He says no; he absolutely wants to be the first choice GK of Anderlecht or get a definitive transfer. So now they are only communicating via lawyers, since he refuses to train. He still has a contract until 2019, interested how that will turn out. You can have ambition, but this is just plain stupid.
Some of his touches and turns were different class. Such a shame he couldn't finish that glorious chance."Shame pennington got injured so early!Nice to see all of the lads are getting regular game time.

True say, Mr WayneIt is, but I suspect his loan is more for his benefit in finding a club, whereas Browning and Galloway both need games to see whether they have a future with us. I've no doubt Pennington will return and find a decent club at Championship level.
I'm not sure of that re Pennington, I wouldn't write him off for us just yet. We've said a few times that our perspective on players has changed and we're now prepared to give them longer to develop. It's certainly the case that defenders , particularly CBs , mature later , and while it's clear we don't have a Stones on our hands he's done well on his loans wherever he's been and particularly his attitude , maturity and willingness to learn. It may be that he's 24 or 25 before we really know, the trouble is of course is that for us it's a long time to wait. Hes got two more years on his contract to prove himself .It is, but I suspect his loan is more for his benefit in finding a club, whereas Browning and Galloway both need games to see whether they have a future with us.
