Would you take back Steve Walsh?

Ok Steve, now what about all the players that you would have bought that have done nothing since? Hindsight is great, he should have said this the day he got fired.

Mind you even if we bought these players they would have been useless. File under Vlasic and about 300 other players.

Exactly, he sounds like a gambler that only tells you when they win or hit the bar for half a mil, never tell you about last Friday when they sponked all their wages on the roulette and now their birds kicked them out

Never forget...

Reminds me of how Wenger went on about almost signing Ronaldo and Messi for Arsenal.

Football is a huge game and every big club knew all about Haaland for years. How can Walsh claim he wasn’t backed? I think he gets let off for the “Koeman” signings. He wanted Rooney and the others.

Even if he didn’t want those players, it stinks of lack of control and gravitas to be in the DOF role - something Brands seems to have in spades.

Steve Walsh spent 3 weeks walking around Italy with a briefcase full of money and came home with nobody.

Marcel Brands goes to Barca and comes home with 3 players.

So many levels.

tbh i believe him

i remember saying we should have signed robertson when he was at hull and salah when he was smashing it in the europa league and champions league for basel

i also thought adama traore would come good and he scored 2 against man city

I believe him, find it very hard to trust Moshiri as theres not a chance he knows what he is doing when it comes to the football side of the buisness that is Everton football club

No he wasn’t, he was a scout! Scouts aren’t tasked with building anything, if he was your director of football I’d probably give you it, but he wasn’t. He was just one of many scouts.
I'm sorry but this is total and utter nonsense. He wasn't just a scout, he was assistant manager and also in total control of the recruitment side of the club. He built it up from nothing and implemented everything we still run by today To suggest he was just another one of our scouts us beyond laughable. If you don't like what he did there that's fine, but don't attempt to run down what he achieved here.
