Mate the BBC gave Navas mom, the media want to suck them off because they are football hipster nerds who think Portugal are boss.
 
deffo the boy Rick. Still very early doors, but that was an outstanding league debut tally: his 2nd goal was the kind of finish which reminds us why we love football.
 
Richarlison obviously runs away with the MoM, not just for the goals but for his workrate all round. Baines had a good game as did Guye, Keane, Schneiderlin in patches and Seamus. Tosun and Walcott need more service if they are going to produce the goals, they can't do it individually and don't seem to have clicked together yet. Siggy was rather anonymous today for some reason. Anyway signs of better things to come.
 
First decent away performance (bar beating relegation zone fodder) since.. well, probably the 1-1 at City last season in game two. (we got a point at The Pit but no one can say we played well).
 
Jagielka should be ashamed of himself after that today. If that's not enough for him to decide it's time to step down a division I don't know what is. If he was a foreigner, heck, if he was Bolasie and was refusing to throw the towel in the fans would be outraged. He's been finished for years, yet somehow he decided to stick around and continue to pick up his king's ransom instead of showing an ounce of professionalism and dropping down a division. Time to koff and never return. He still has three weeks to leave but you can bet your bottom dollar that captain fantastic will still be here with his seventy grand a week come September. Worst captain in our history.
 
All in all, seeing as we had half a first choice xi out, I guess we can't complain. I said before the game I think Silva will give the two jokers at centre back one last chance to prove they're not deserving of the chop, and that they'd single handedly cost us the game. All too predictable unfortunately.

I know keane got caught out for the second goal but on the whole he had a decent game and probably his best game in a blue shirt. Probably knows he is going to be playing second or third fiddle to Mina, zouma and maybe holgate who played well when he came on. There is a lot of positives to take out the game with a few players that played today and the guys who we have to fit into the system. Future is looking good for a change
