doesn't exactly grab the game by the scruff of the neck does he
He reminds me of the fat lad in school, who had loads of skill, could pass a ball like no one else and took all the free kicks, but never moved out of the centre circle loldoesn't exactly grab the game by the scruff of the neck does he
John O'Leary, or something similar, Fantail FA National Sunday League Cup Final, Prenton Park to a tee.He reminds me of the fat lad in school, who had loads of skill, could pass a ball like no one else and took all the free kicks, but never moved out of the centre circle lol

The John O Leary I know is 77 and very red faced after an interesting life. I think he would be a better player than WCJohn O'Leary, or something similar, Fantail FA National Sunday League Cup Final, Prenton Park to a tee.
No need for either mate...He's not that type of player though.
It's like signing a striker and then questioning why he doesn't defend... Hmm, sounds familiar.
If we keep Schneiderlin, there's no need for Carvalho however.
I played Sunday football for years and listened to Graham Beecroft read the results sure day evening on Merseyside. I followed Fantail progress and kept hearing how opposing team players sniggered when this O'Leary guy took the field. The John O Leary I know is 77 and very red faced after an interesting life. It's not really though, I think expecting a CM to influence play is pretty normalHe's not that type of player though.

Definately going to booed by the home support before September is through

He'd be a disaster for us.He does influence the play - but he isn't someone who will get about and around the pitch.
In a 4-4-2 I do think he's limited. He does lack the pace to drive upfield. However, at the base of a 4-3-3, which is where he normally plays for Sporting and has done a fair few times with Portugal, he does get on the ball and start the moves. It's a positioning thing more than anything.
But, like I said, if we're not looking to move Schneiderlin on, then there's no point in going for someone like Carvalho.
God, he ran like he had backless slippers on the bad nob sniffGood.
Maggie Gueye was quicker than this feller
