100% this, if us and Wolves both go in for a Mendes client they have an advantage unless we offer daft money.

Until we get the new stadium and hopefully a future big money takeover we have to keep investing money but I fear Moshiri will no longer be doing this and there is the threat of falling behind.

I like Pickford, but we cant be sentimental with players if we want to progress, specially not keepers, and I think Rui Patricio is a mentionably better goalkeeper than Jordan Pickford.
Having Patricio and Pickford compeating to be our keeper would be stellar, and would ofc never happen. I dont want us to sell Jordan, but if its for a better goalie we would all forget after about two weeks, just like always.

They're back in the Champions League, a more tactical league and his lassez-faire approach to running around won't get him crucified like it would at Goodison.

To be frank I think he would struggle with the pace in the prem.

There is no doubt he is a technical player with good positional sense who can pick a pass , but when a player goes past him his lack of inclination / ability to turn and chase is alarming.

..it would be my concern too, especially with the lack of mobility the team already has.

Hope this is true. The idea of him teaming up with our other Mr. Dynamo, Schneidelin, with both of them 'marking space', filled me with dread. And M.S might be going to Marseilles - let's hope these 'mights' turn into reality.
