William Carvalho

Patricio is probably on a similar level to Pickford. Wolves have played an absolute blinder getting him in for a tiny fee which will probably be set by tribunal. If only Everton were that clever when it comes to transfers.

I`m wondering what Mendes ulterior motives are in all this.

One things crystal, whatever it is, it`ll be about putting even more money in his pockets.
Player signs for Wolves , Mendes get a fee
Player does well in PL big club buys him for big fee , Mendes gets big fee.

Players see Mendes as an agent who can get them top clubs , sign for Mendes , Mendes gets more fees.
I would say most of Mendes players with Wolves have realistic release clauses in their contracts.

I am not too concerned if we are not getting Carvalho.

The bloke is a talented player but I reckon he would get murdered here with his style of play and rightly or wrongly would be a boo boy here in no time for not "running around enough".

Gueye of course would be chastised for "running around too much" because we are an awkward bunch.

Hopefully Brands can get someone who runs around just the right amount, ffs.

If you took off your «young, british international»-glasses, Im sure youd see it different.
True. It's an outstanding signing for Wolves. He could easily have waltzed into a number of Champions League sides.

Yet he chose Wolves, a team promoted from the Championship.
I wonder if he was a fan from when he was a boy and Wolves were playing in the lower divisions ?

He’s 30 and has played for Sporting all his career? If he was that good then why isn’t he playing for a top side?
You could say the same for loads of players.

Seamus Coleman immediately springs to mind. ( I know he`s only 28 ).

Loads of reasons, famliy settled, kids settled and happy at school etc.

Sometimes a player and a club are the right fit for each other - Coleman and Everton being a prime example.
