I met Alan Ball a few years ago (2006) at a charity golf event in Southampton, actually it was ex players and Laurie Mcmenemy , I think I said hello that was about it

Used to turn out in the summer at the local sports club in a fundraiser (back then), usually a couple of pro's would be there (Martinez played this year) and you can just imagine his dribblin stats by the end of 1 of them games.
If he played today, I would like to think he would keep the ball to himself for the whole of the 90 minutes.

Back in 2002 the club did a 'meet the players lunch' at Goodison, was literally the best afternoon of my life, pretty much the entire first team showed up, and I remember Rooney showing up on his BMX, I think this was a few days before that Arsenal game. Anyway David Unsworth was deffo my fave to meet, genuinely wanted to be there and chatted to everyone in the room for ages.
Wish they still did these lunches, the food was alright too!!

Mick Lyons outside a pub in Perth suburb of Scarborough right on the beach he ended coming for a few pints and joined in the banter with the outlaws(all reds) top bloke. Saw him around a few times, and he was always wearing an Everton shirt. My mate at work played with him a few times in the grey ghosts league (old farts).

I have been in the company or had the opportunity to speak to players past and present quite a few times, but I like to avoid just in case my opinion of them goes down due to big headedness or rudeness. I can understand why some of them would get a bit fed up of people always going up to them and telling them how wonderful they are.

I did however end up in a conversation with Alan Stubbs when he was playing in Scotland and he spoke then about his love for Everton Football Club and we had a good chat about that. Seemed a decent guy.

I met Neville at Finch Farm once. I made a banner for his Daughter when she was doing the run in Manchester. Was going to put it up in the ground and spoke to the club, but he said that he woud rather get it personally, as he doesn't want his daughters life crossing with his football. Understandable really. Nice bloke aswell. While I was there I saw a few of the first team buzzing about, Fellaini was still injured at that point, but could see him walking around. The great thing is just how friendly they all are, even the arl fella on the desk, had a crack with all the squad when they were walking past. Barkley was sat in the reception doing an interview aswell.

Joe Parkinson used to sit on the seat behind me, and then, one game at West Ham, He couldn't make it so Stubbsy took his ticket (he was at Sunderland at the time)

Peter Ried on a tour round Stoke a few years ago. What a lovely fella. He sacked off talking to a group just cause he seen us Evertonians walking round and came over to say hello. I think he heard the accents, stands out well against the Stokies like.......

Stubbsy, Cahill, Moyes, and Kenwright. Moyes was lovely, but this was just after the first season, so everyone loved him and he was very humbled by it.

where in the grounds that mate?

when i was a kid i met Limpar, Kendall, and Hinchcliff who told me to calm down as i got a bit over excited and pushed the other kids away to get his autograph. Also was at a match against Forest and was stood where the away coach pulls up on my own as all the players had gone in i was about 10, then Kev Cambell came off the coach in his forest trackie saw me with my program came straight over signed it and ruffled my hair. Was made up when we signed him. Met most of the players from about 5 years ago at Finch Farm Carsley and Baines were sound . Met big Dunc and just froze first time i have been star struck in my life.
