Who's joining Sheff Weds on loan?

He'll get crippled in that league. And he's a class player that needs to play with other class players. He wouldn't be going anywhere like that if this club was properly funded and/or Moyes wasn't able to get his brother to smooth the path to that cnut Adams turning up to replace him.

Anyone thinking differently is just drunk on the Mirallas news.

So you agree that moyes made a mistake by starting Barkley last year when he wasn't ready?

The squad was as thin as Nik's white belt at the start if last year, he had little option but to play Barkley given the injuries.
It was a gamble which didn't work out for Ross or for Moyes.

I'd have loved for him to hit the ground running last season and I still eagerly anticipate him bossing games, hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later but I'll not lose sleep waiting for it. He'll be ready when he's ready.

I'd rather he be starting every week for Sheff Wed than coming on in the 82nd minute of the odd game for us. Its obvious Moyes isnt going to give him regular first team football and thats what he needs right now in a competitive league, not more reserve games. Plus its only 6 months and I would hope we would have a recall option.

Oh wait, a Barkley thread. Never miss a chance...

Can't loans be recalled so not sure what the problem with Barkley is - not going to start, so getting first team action elsewhere where he is prob gonna be a cut above and can be recalled match fit if needed

TBF Milks, I just utterly hate any argument that goes along the lines of Moyes 'knows better than you so don't question him you're not the manager'.

I think it's largely missing the point of discussion forums, I think it's ignoring the fact that even good managers can make mistakes (Kroldrup etc), I think that general kind of unquestioning faith unnerves me and I think it's ridiculous to argue that you can only judge the results of a job if you can do it yourself. I'm an electrician and the men I work for aren't. But they can still judge whether I've done a good job or not. They hire me to do the work so they don't have to learn how to do it and the fact they can't rewire a machine doesn't mean they can't tell if the power's on or not.

Same as when I go to a restaurant and pay someone to cook for me, I can't cook it myself that's why I'm paying someone else to do it but I can still tell if the food is rotten or not. Likewise I can't do Moyes job but then I'm not being paid to do it, he is and I can still tell when the football he's serving is stale and tasteless.
