Where in the world have you been?

Just back from a few days away firstly in Alnwick which is a decent town, loads of pubs, restaurants, walks and things to do.
Last couple of days we were in Jedburgh, the missus is into history so the Abbey, old jail, castle etc. was good but serious lack of restaurants and only one pub open in the town yesterday, went to Hawick yesterday what a sh%thole, I honestly thought these Scottish border towns would be decent.
Next time we'll spend more time in Northumberland and give the Scottish borders a wide berth.

Peterhead is the same.
Pavements awash with seagull droppings.
The Spoons is worth going to just to people watch.
Seen a fella take his cup out and come back in an hour later to refill.
Toilets always locked.
Spent quite a few nights in Peterhead when I used to work occasionally at St.Fergus.
Peterhead is very dark and bleak and certainly a site to behold.
It's saving grace for me was the fish shops down at the harbour, the fresh fish was magnificent.

I remember going on a family trip to Egypt about 2 decades ago, and I remember thinking that both the Sphinx and the pyramids where way too small…

I also remember going on a tour guide into one of the chambers in Giza’s pyramid, and then when we came back out, peeling away from the group, and going around to corner so that I could take a leak on the side of the pyramid, just so I could tell my mates back home that I had left my mark on history! 😂🤦‍♂️
