When will we start taking Victor seriously?

I wouldve put that in, infact if he'd fell over he wouldve put that in. The work was done by Jelavic who slotted it across perfectly.

Sorry mate but just got to disagree with you there. Not about Jelli's part - great play by him, but look at the replay again carefully - Vic's movement to get there in front of the defender was clever, and as one recent poster commented it looked like he had taken it straight out of Jelavic's book. He's improving.

Vic deliberately left his run until late to nick in front of the defender unsighted. In the past he might not even have kept up with play or looked to get on the end of things. He's certainly evolving into a more complete forward.

Never been his greatest fan but you can see now why Moyes thought he had something to offer and as such he got his new contract.

Doubt if he'll ever be a 1st XI regular but he's a very good option to have. His battle with Tiote tonight at corners was hilarious.

Part of his performance tonight may have been 'revenge' against Newcastle & their fans as that's where Nolan broke his leg. The salt of the earth Geordies were then booing Anichebe for trying to play on despite having a broken leg.

As with everyone else, just hope he keeps it up for the rest of the season.

His goals to minutes played has to be near the top of the Prem. I'm sold.

Yup. I just hacked this out on Paint (only updated Vic's numbers).

he's still improving as a player, and so he should be, because there was a lot to improve!

tonite he did well, but he's got to do it week after week to become more than just a squad player.

His target should be to get into double figures this season.
