But even taking the big numbers out of the equation, we signed two quality players in June!

Yeah but we have Stoke first up so you know any positivity is like Scotch mist

(BTW, I'm going for a 0-0 bore draw)

£25m and £23m isn't £72m mate

I'm jumping the gun a little on Sandro and I'm incuding the add-ons and stuff.

I have never pretended to be an ITK, but I have an old school friend inside who told me the klaasen fee was higher than it turned out to be.

He is super professional and tight lipped and I appreciate that. But I think he is kind of super excited too right now - he is under the impression that Sandro is expected to sign, Keane waiting to see if any firm interest from utd, and Sigurdsson looking very possible

Probably good we largely sat out of the transfer market last season, there were so many clubs drunk with new TV money. Looking like a good squad if we can keep Rom for another year.

Nice work Farhad

Next up, please purchase -
Sandro Ramirez : £6m
Kelechi Iheanacho : £25m
Michael Keane : £24m

And bank £30m+ by selling Niasse and McCarthy.

Then "save game".

I still think there might be more. We need more than one new CB in my opinion unless Koeman is going to wait for Funes Mori. We need cover at full backs, and probably another wide player. That's dependent on Barkley and Rom staying too.

I think we may be in for a huge number of ins and outs. The squad Martinez left was just not fit for purpose as simple as that.

£30m Pickford
£26m Klaassen
£16m Niang

That's where he's getting £72m from.

To be fair, the Echo reported a '£42m double deal involving Klaassen & Niang' earlier tonight.

Niang isn't confirmed. Klaassen was announced as slightly than that, at £23.5m.

;)

Why the hell do we care about the price tag (unless you are an accountant)? All I care about is, have we strengthened the squad? Whether that cost $1m or $100m makes no difference. Are we better than last season is the only question we need to ask

72 million spent before the transfer window even opens....

We have beaten the net spend for every decade of our history already ... I can't handle it ... Some part of my brain is refusing to process the Everton I see before me today
£72 million? Have I missed another one? Literally turn your back for a second and...
