What Carlo needs to change

We also have to CMS injured who could and might make a huge difference
No we don't.

Gbamin remains an unknown quantity at this point. The lad may not be cut out for the English game, he might be boss. Who knows?

Gomes is a fancy cm but he isn't one that can be a lynchpin . He can be boss alongside someone to give him that freedom but he alone isn't an answer.

Delph is a stand in at most top 7 teams at best. Not knocking the lad but he isn't going to make a big difference with a steady run in the team when he is fit.

Don't get me wrong. We sign a couple of ancelotti midfielders and welcome back those top 2 and it is a completely different picture . However much like the Walsh number 10 fiasco, we have only one midfielder who can put a foot in and he has been crocked since August.

So if gbamin, is decent and we know Gomes, is it’s still ( as of now ) our FIRST CHOICE CMS so we are missing those and would help right now. But ancellotti will have his targets I’m sure

He needs to change one player at a time with someone worthy of the shirt. And what we pay for them.

He needs to do it about 18 times.

That's what I mean. Having those two and replacements for siggurdson /schniederlin and dare I say Davies. That's a decent midfield choice as long as the replacements are the new first choice.

It has affected us losing key players but then like yesterday, the two we did play were the reason why we lost , why we got overrun. If we had brought a league 2 midfielder in or brought a lad from the academy up then they would have shown themselves a little more.

In fact I'd rather us play kids in their position than offer them another game there. Fine siggurdson until the summer can be used further up the pitch but if the two S weren't on the pitch yesterday, would you have noticed in that second half? They were the reason why the attack couldn't get the ball

Well also mate our back 4 thought they were playing football on the training pitch and wanted to play passy passy

They never had a pass on. They panicked every single time they looked up and saw noone to give it to. That's the extent of how bad it was, I doubt they wanted to keep the ball there. Sigg and schnied were nowhere to be seen so it was either hoof it every time or pass it back.

As much as I keep harping on about those two it really was the cause of that second half. Neither wanted the ball , weren't rushing to win it back when it was lost and weren't available when someone needed an outlet. They weren't playing the ball forward when they did receive it and it meant apart from Walcott being man marked out wide , we had literally nothing to play the ball other than 50 yard punts.

Sidebe doing what he was doing was bad as well but given he is a full back , that's expected. Those two are midfielders , that's why they need to be the first ones out the door.

Ye I agree they didn’t have a clue were to pass so just kept passing to each other and when any of them two dropped back for the ball they just passed it back again lol

I think Ancelotti will just make a couple of tweaks in the glaringly obvious problem positions, perhaps a central midfielder or two on loan and a central defender. He hasn’t been here long enough to assess the squad thoroughly and see which of the current crop of cowards he thinks he can get a tune out of.

It will be a different story in the summer though, I’m certain he has had assurances from Moshiri or his boss that there will be significant funds for squad building, but, I think Ancelotti is far too clever to go blowing it all before he has had a proper chance to see how the land lies.

I'm hoping he already assessed the team and knows who needs to go.
