We play attractive football, prices are low yet we cant sell our home games?

I've enjoyed our football this year, if I'm honest. Possibly that's down to lowered expectations.

But in home games vs the likes of reading, qpr, southampton, newcastle etc we've just been in cruise control and knocking the ball around for fun and that gives me great pleasure.

If everyone bought the burger and a drink deal for £5.90 we'd average £212'400 per game, times that by the league and cup games it would equal £4.7m which is the equivalent of a player being on 90k a week with us.

So technically we could pay Lescott for a single season if we all bought a burger and a drink, who's in?

If we all bought the burger and drink meal, we'd still be in the line by the time the full time whistles is blown.

Plus I'm not sure I want a burger and drink that coists precisely no money to make and give out. I imagine the ingredients wouldn't be the best.

Brilliant.

I saw a full family eating out of tupper-wear last home game, in Fam enc.

Looked nice to be fair, mince, veg & mash, bit of read on the side.

I like a bit of Black pepper with mine, and splash of vinegar, I know I know, its sick.

That's another thing - the catering at footy matches (for in the general stands and the great unwashed) is terrible. The whole thing in all the grounds is crap. Burgers and sausage rolls that on a normal day you'd only eat if you'd had a skinfull. Likewise the beer.

The football is decent but Everton aren't the most exciting club. Day trippers are more likely to fancy one of the other big north-west clubs.

What needs to be determined is how many different fans are going the match and how often they are attending.

It may be a case that the fans who were going 9 times a season are going 6 times, the ones who were going 6 times a season are now going 4 times etc.

It may not be an actual deduction in the number of fans attending. Eg, if we get 32000 home fans 2 games in a row it's not the same 32000 fans, around 28000 may be the same person but the floating no of 4000 will be different people

I realise that personal stories are significantly insignificant but I like to talk to other people on the trains to and from matches (I know bruce and ijjy - shocking. Us northerners are barbarians).

And there were four or five foriegners going to the qpr game (a yank, a couple of krauts and two swedes) who were just day tripping to see a PL football match and choose everton because it was the cheapest big ground.

Sodexho would.

The number of people who go every game over a five year period is much less than people imagine.

At most clubs it's less than 10,000 and the rest drift in and out depending on finances and other stuff.

until we concede in the 90th min and throw away the points

I seem to remember reading a couple of years ago the no of unique home supporters during a season was around 70,000?

We've won 11 of 18 home league games. Of the 7 we didn't win, nobody scored vs swansea, arsenal, liverpool and villa got their goals early and chelsea scored with 20 minutes to go. I was at both norwich and newcastle and they were gutting, don't get me wrong, but it's hardly the norm.

We've been a very fun, very good team to watch at home in the league this season. Passed it around well, scored some nice goals, had a huge amount of shots, dominated every game and attacked a lot. A season ticket that buys you 11 wins, 6 draws, a loss, 31 everton goals and 17 goals let in is decent value.
