Our top six home attendances where the derby 1st, Chelsea 2rnd, Wigan 3rd, United 4th, Aston Villa 5th, and Southhamton 6th.

Some good points raised about stadium and our prices are relatively low. Now if we were to move to a new stadium at some point with no obstructed views. In circa of 55,000 seats, the prices would rise and we would never fill it. We would probably get 50,000 maximum maybe less. There's no waiting lists for tickets and the only people that will go the match are the ones that go now.

Our attendances are poor these days, under Walter Smith we averaged about 37,000 ish.

Average attendance under Smith - 34,500

Average attendance under Moyes - 36,000

It'd be massively off trend if they'd dropped over the past decade.

All I meant was that the empty seats are worth more now than they worth then, hence the why the number is seemingly so high

Not necessarily, once you factor in match revenues as a % of income, inflation & what we take in secondary spend per head. I'd guess it'd be less relatively speaking.

Not that it makes much odds.

I've been surprised that these last few homes games haven't been more in the 36, 37 bracket than (I think) the 34 and 35 they have been. We all know that we'll only get 38k+ for the top games. In addition I think more and more away fans are willing to swerve Goodison having either experienced or heard about the poor views/conditions.

Saying that it does always fill me with pride that we'll never go down the route you see at the likes of Villa, Sunderland to name but two where there's massive banks of empty seats behind the goals in many games this season.

I've done most grounds over the past 5 or 6 years some atrocious ones more than once. It's never really bothered me about facilities and that. As an away fan you expect one window, no ale, cue for hours, crappest seats etc.

I think there's a lot less money in the world especially among people likely to go aways. My group went from a regular 5, sometimes 8-9, to 3 then 2 in the space of two seasons a year or two ago. All down to work.

Our seasons tickets range from 399 to 560 pounds, QPR from 499 to 949.

Man city is 465 to 745 mind which isn't bad. Arsenal the worst at 985 to 1,984. Wigan the best at 255 to 300 but it is wigan. West brom 349 to 459 is alright as well.

But we're cheaper than places like stoke or fulham or west ham or sunderland or norwich or newcastle.

Not so. Forget what their official admission prices are, they both virtually give away tickets. Villa are doign the same at the moment as well, to boost support in the battle to stay up. Makes sense.

The truth is that Everton Football; club missed the boat 20 years ago. They were on eof the instigators of the PL -- but had no plan to make the most of it. When football was being glamourised once Sky took a hold we were nowhere to be seen -- and we're still suffering now. That's why clubs who have never been within shouting distance of Everton's fan base are now getting gates not dissimilar to ours eg Southampton and WHU. I still suspect our actual fanbase is bigger than all bar 3 or 4 other clubs (our away support signifies that) but we're simply not media-tuned and glamorous or succesful enough to pull in another 5,000 or so of the more lukewarm fans for every home game. The last time we were relatively attractive to the media was when we had Rooney -- and our average gate were more like 38,000 than the 35,000 we are getting currently.

Where I sit at GP obstructed views don't bother me but can someone tell me if there is any reduction in price
For obstructed view seats?

Goodison, despite it's history & second to none atmosphere when rocking ... is a terrible place to watch football. The facilities are atrocious in this day & age ...

About a £1.

Bloody ridiculous in my view.

They should be half price - certainly the thousand or two bad ones.

There. Said it. Board out!

I'd disagree with the title saying we play attractive football. Occasionally we'll score a good goal like the other day, but in general I find it frustrating football. Even when we win its not particularly exciting - there have been SO many boring 1-0s over the years that sometimes you come away from a game we won numb and bored after holding on to a one goal lead for the last 10 minutes. At least in the past we managed to hold on in those situations, its been shambolic this year at times.

My Dad gave up his season ticket at the start of the season because of feeling like there's only 4-5 good games a season, and being bored even when we win most of the time.

we never go to kill teams off under Moyes, i'm not complaining nor disputing any financial constraints - just stating facts.
