We play attractive football, prices are low yet we cant sell our home games?

Three reasons spring to mind, but there's loads more.

1 - We have a very localised fan base in a recession hit area, so we don't have the influx of Norwegian support clamouring for tickets every game.

2 - We have more obstructed views than pretty much any other stadium imaginable.

3 - We have no glory hunters whatsoever. We have little to no chance of winning anything in the foreseeable future so none of the fair weather fans are on the bandwagon.

Sums it up

I live in London, have done for years. I regularly see lads with Man City, Man Utd tops on, even more with Liverpool gear on (the amount of cockney reds is unbelievable). I've can't even remember the last time I saw anyone in an Everton shirt, was a good 2/3 years ago. It's so rare I almost feel like giving them a handshake when I spot on

I think our prices are pretty good value and significantly lower than any of the teams around us in the table. I was at the Arsenal game the other week and got talking to a guy in the pub before the match. He's been on the waiting list for a season ticket at Arsenal for 10 years. And he has to pay £50 a season just to stay on the list. So far he's spent £500 just to be on a waiting list. Incredible.

I'll be honest, i had not seen this..

Gotta remember there's a number of teams who don't fill there away allocation which accounts for around 2000 I believe?

The reasons have already been said though, local fanbase, recession, games on tv/streaming.

It's because arl arses like me don't rate 7th as justification for all the rest of the stuff and have stopped going we don't have enough younger fans to replace them for similar reasons - it's a perfect storm but no-one seems arsed enough to do anything about it.

"entertaining football" ?????

We were dire for most of the last two or three years but I've enjoyed watching us play at home this season.

Dire for most of the Moyes era, last season saw a renaissance and the seeds of genuine hope then the Moyes curse afflicted Jela (fck knows what happens with Moyes and strikers at FF) and slowly we started going through the motions again admittedly not as dire as previous years but the die is cast.

There's been enough displays over the years for people to say "I've had enough" but after one too many false dawns people actually stop going.

Evertonians want silverware and 11 years of Moyes plus the previous walter years is enough for anyone.

I'm not going to lie to you, nigel, there were genuine moments following that wigan game where I thought about never going to another game until we get change. It was utterly soul destroying.

I'm still not sure I can face another year of moyes/kenwright which is why I'm holding off buying a season ticket.

But ultimately I like watching everton, I like going to the ground, I like talking to the people around me, I like being part of a crowd and I've even liked a lot of the stuff I've seen on the pitch, this year. I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to walk away.

Good on yer mate just as well there's lads like you about I just hope you get a team and success such loyalty (not to mention hard earned cash) deserves. For what it's worth I think the support is there like a huge blue sea but it's becalmed - needs something/someone to get it excited again after watching Moyes for 11 years it isn't him.
