We must stick with silva as fans

I wrote the article as I feared the atmosphere wouldn't be great for the sheff utd game but in fact the fans were very supportive and created the perfect platform for a good result. There were no excuses for that performance from the players. The signs are very bad now for silva following that result

But it isn't the Sheffield match alone, if we are being honest about his tenure it has been one of false dawns. He gets results following poor runs and we all think "this is it, we are on our way". I don't know if it is the players rallying or luck but it seems to have been the way since he got here.
My fear is that the club is moving forward on all other fronts, seemingly, can these very poor results impact on the off field progress.

We don't owe him anything. Managers and players have to earn loyalty from fans and Silva has done nothing to earn it. I might even feel a little loyalty towards him if he wasn't such a blatant mercenary who would happily jib us off in a heartbeat just like he's done everywhere else.

You know there's a problem, when a fubar total and utter basket case of a club like Newcastle, are just two points behind you. This is turning into Koemans second season.

I will stick with him because the season has only just started but where do we draw the line?

I will back him, but not for the sake of it. This is what I was on about re; top blooing the other day.

We have managed an incredible run of one point per game if we continue like that we may miss out on relegation so there is some thing to hope for. Only another 31 games to go!

Allegri, Mourinho, Spalletti, Benitez, Wenger, Blanc, Marcelino, Tedesco, Deschamps, Pablo Machin, Howe, Luis Enrique, Mancini, Arteta, Bielsa, Van Bronckhorst, Bosz, Kohfeldt, Ten Hag, Tuchel or even an unlikely return for our old assistant Joao Pedro Sousa - currently pulling trees with little known Famalicao.

More than 20 coaches there i'd be overjoyed with if we appointed instead of MS.

Can we please put the "there's nobody out there" argument to bed now?

And of those 20, now name the realistic ones.

How realistic they are depends on how truly ambitious the club are. In theory, they are all very “gettable”.

All top managers want to manage in the Premier League, especially when they are given the sort of budget our managers have had.

Don’t think many would be considered that unrealistic. Even if you say half of them are unrealistic, which they aren’t, then that’s still 10+ managers we could target.

Our MO is to go for managers performing at clubs smaller than us. Or flavour of the month managers. I reckon we'll go for the lad at Sheffield Utd ;)
