Wayne has nothing to prove to anyone. Completely finished in his natural position up front. Like so so poor. But can slot back into midfield and be our best player in that position by a country mile. No many English players capable of a transition like that.

Leicester managed to keep their best two players. We sell ours or they up and leave at the first sign of any interest. Wayne knows that better than anyone.

Rooney is perfect spraying passes from midfield. Something Schneiderlin cannot do. He can spray them backwards though.

Kante jumped ship. And Mahrez has been wanting to leave since they won the league...but no one wants to spend the money on him (he's not that good either).
Vardy interest cooled after he turned Arsenal down. And I don't think anyone wants to spend £40+ mill on him in at his age.
We probably would like cos we're daft.
Problem is they never built or capitalised on winning the league.
We've done the same. Hit the ceiling, never capitalised.
