He was irreplaceable on the loan back from Tottenham and fell off the map a bit after he re-signed. Do hope he picks it up.
This.
Pienaar is not as good as he once was but he´s consistently one of our most important players. If you react to him losing possession once in a while it´s because he´s become a victim of his own high standards.
He´s not a goal scorer, but he never has been so it could hardly have come as a surprise for you he´s not banging them in this season.

The times Pienaar has played well are when he’s been looking for a new contract.
Also the myth about him and Baines is purely a myth. Baines plays well with everyone. Baines and Mirallas last season were causing murder down the left hand side. Like in the derby game until they took out Mirallas.
From his position on the pitch he should chip in a few more goals. He's had the chances and ballooned them.
A thread to explicitly lay into players? I've seen it all now.
Both of those point are inaccurate & unfair.
So you don't think Pienaar's best form are when he was first on loan looking for a permanent deal, when he wanted the bigger contract and we sold him to Spurs or when he came back on loan and wanted the permanent deal?
Overreacting much?
Just my own personal opinion that Pienaar is out of form and his place would be better occupied by someone else.
Don't worry, after my -8000 rep i'll stick to lurking.
Sorry again for posting an opinion that doesn't match your own.
