Waste of a place

Jelavic and Osman are obvious candidates, but for me the ultimate waste of a place is Steven Pienaar.

He's been badly gash for a while now IMO. He disappears in games and constantly makes the wrong decisions. He must also be one of the worst finishers I've ever seen.

Leon Osman deservedly gets criticised on these forums, i'm just wondering why Pienaar seems to escape getting much flak?

Whack Deulofeu in the mix instead of him I say.

He's looked better, still a way off but better. We need someone who can pick a pass through defence against teams playing very deep. Pienaar could be good for that. At least we have options now if someone is not doing it.

Lets see Pinnear play with a genuine powerful forward who finds himself space before making snap judgements, for me we always look better with him than we do without, thats the mark of a good player

Pienaar's been just OK so far in my opinion, no harm that he's going to have some decent competition breathing down his neck for his place, he may suddenly up a gear

If there is a pointless player in the squad it's Alcaraz. Just dont understand that signing.

I agree, he's been mostly horrible lately. How he escapes criticism I don't know.
Hope he comes good with the new system/players.

Don't think Baines would tell you that Pienaar is "badly gash", I think he's done ok so far this season as well! As for Osman "badly gash" doesn't even begin to describe how bad he has been since Christmas, as has Jelavic!

Should never have bought him back from Spurs. Is he the top earner in the squad as well? Worst bit of business ever!
