If we are not in a position to play to Keans strengths dont sub him on in the first place.

Doing what he did was absolutely idiotic regardless of Kean -

It damages the players confidence
It damages the team morale
It can create cliques in the dressing room
Its a waste of an actual sub in the game

BUT EY DOH LADS DAT BIG DUNC SHOWN SUM PASHUN HOOKIN MOIST OFF NNSO
*NSNO

Starting him against Leicester would be a perfect way to end our chances in the cup!

Regardless of the reasons why the lad looked exhausted after 10 mins against a United team that had played 80 - trying to play against a fresh Leicester team known for their workrate would be disastrous for both Everton and any remaining Kean confidence.

We have games coming thick and fast and he will play a part, he is definitely fit enough to last 90mins. Many reason contributes to a regrettable event today but fitness is definitely not a major factor. Leicester barely beat us the last time round and it won’t be a walkover this time with our much improved team.

He’s already given the explanation, if you believe it.

He said he didn’t have anything against Kean and just wanted to use a sub to waste time - if that was the case then there was at least 3 other players more suitable than Kean to do that.

If that was the case, he would have consoled Kean coming off the pitch.

Instead, he’s played it down to try and retain as much of Kean’s value.

How does that work considering most of the world would have seen what happened?

He's done the sum total of diddlysquat to earn a start.
This is Everton Football Club.
You earn your shirt, not be given it because of what you cost or where you were signed from.

if he show enough desire to prove himself why not? Must we go all out to destroy his career and throw 30m out the window?

Must we pander to his every whim and bomb out the cup as a result cos he can't be arsed putting a shift in?

Nah

Add in our injury list and he certainly should play a part - at least he will do if that substitution hasn’t totally destroyed him.

We’ll have to agree to disagree on his fitness.

Nah

So are you suggesting we should never play him again even if he shows a desire to put today’s event behind and prove his worth again?
