Usmanov

The esks burgeoning career as a podcast commentator, echo article writer and blogger/website runner of his own articles, pretty much hangs on Usmanov never coming here, if it did then his single biggest statement on something will have been utterly wrong.

hence why he is so vociferous about any article, comment or opinion contrary to that

One thing i noticed from that usmanov interview, first one i've read about his involvement at Arsenal from him where he made no statement about being their for long term, passing his shares on as a legacy to his family etc, some would say that is a rather large omission and curious to say the least.

Weird that Ste. He's said that in the past but seems to have changed course recently.

I wonder why. :coffee:

Yup it is curious to say the least.

Especially given the situation right now at Arsenal with the fans view of Wenger and the owners would have been absolutely ripe to throw on how much he is committed, how if he was in charge he'd do things differently, how he isn't going anywhere etc, instead what we received is a whole lot of his suggestion on what should happen followed by passing the buck entirely over to Kroenke and basically saying 'not my problem'

In no way shape or form is that the talk of someone who has any intention of trying to still gain control at that club.

it amounts to a huge shrug of the shoulders when you read his interview.

David Frances wife in an interview on Toffeeweb seems to hint at Usmanovs possible involvement

Then there’s the anticipation of additional Russian funds and unfounded speculation of Chinese investment in the longer term. Who knows? But I suspect the other shoe - or two - has yet to drop. It’s early days and we must remain patient.

Thats a big hint thats for sure! and Chinese too? she is our new itk!

I agree with this, as others have said, first time hes never said how committed he is....

As much as ive agreed with Esk in the past, I think hes got that wrong, certainly doesnt sound like someone committed to staying and trying to sort things out, to me thats the first stage of him upping sticks

key word, 'additional', meaning already present

Kroneke will never ever ever ever allow Usmanov any sort of say in the club for as long as he's largest shareholder.

And I doubt Kroneke would ever buy Usmanov's shares, firstly he doesn't need to, secondly they probably wouldn't want to deal with each other just to spite each other.

There is nothing stopping him from selling / giving away shares though... there's always hope.

From Moshiri buying only 49.9% stake to USM buying FF's naming rights to the speculation in the media and the business links between Moshiri and Usmanov I definitely think big things are to come in the future.

Will it be Usmanov? I don't know but I'll be honest I'll be shocked if someone hasn't bought into us or the stadium within the next 2-3 seasons.

Listening to the gooners over on their forum, they don't want either of them. If you listen to them they have buried half of their respective business rivals and non believers in concrete overcoats.
