When there's a investment need, you have financiers who will look for people/companies who are willing to invest.

I had a meeting planned with a top level financier, who called me to say we'd have to reschedule as himself and a partner have been tasked with a multi million pound project relating to a football club. These guys are the 2 of the best in their field of work.
