Where do you think his money will go when he passes? He's almost 68 and isn't really in the best of shape. Would be an Everton that moment if the person who inherits his money sells the club.

He has absolutely no involvement with Everton FC except being on friendly terms with our owners

That is the point though. It is a very expensive way of borrowing money. The going rate for loans against future media revenue are 7%. Why would one of the richest men on the planet pay way over the going rate to borrow money. We do it every year.
Yes, City and Chelsea, along with the other 20 clubs in the league all take bridging loans every summer. That is the point though. It is a very expensive way of borrowing money. Do you think the likes of Mansoor and Abramovich resort to borrowing money at way above the going rate. From a fiduciary perspective the Directors of Everton have a duty to act in the best interests of Everton FC. To me that says that we are unable to borrow the money in a cheaper way.
The interest payable to Rights and Media Funding Limited will be just shy of £10m which is around 5% of our total turnover.Don’t worry about it, if we are then so be it. You seem a little bothered by the possibility though @gwladysnight

No, I don't know why, they just do.
Every Summer people lose their heads over these bridging loans.Billionaires don’t stay rich by spending their own money
The people who own the club are successful businessmen because they understand what they are doing. The interest payable to Rights and Media Funding Limited will be just shy of £10m which is around 5% of our total turnover.
