Andy Hinchcliffe was a great little player . I think he would be seen as one of better players during that period if he wasn't made of sugar glass.
I have always thought that Warzycha never got the recognition he deserved but actually watching back some old videos I have of him , he wasn't all that but my god he was fast .
Shame McBride didn't come back .

Marcus Bent had a great season for us after Rooney had gone, from 17th to 4th. Always speaks well of his time here, we’ve paid a lot more for forward players who haven’t delivered half of what was expected, this lad over delivered and his commitment and running made up for bits of quality. Landon Donovan delivered more than we expected in his spells too.

I reckon the shout for Super Kev Campbell is the one I’d reckon did the most in the shortest time though. Delivered everything & more.

Dozing off this lazy Sunday in the sun got me thinking,1969-70,Tommy Jackson,Sandy Brown(bit before my time!!)mid 80's loads though, Pointon,Adams,Langley,Mimms,Wilkinson, Harper and Richardson obviously, the other lads were great for us in 1986-87 in the light of a horrendous injury list in the first half of the season in particular which kept us hanging in until our major players returned, any I've ommited?was going to say Paul power but he became a fixture:)

Bobby Mimms, Bobby Mimms......we led the league, Nev got injured, Mimms came in and the RS won it. He also played in the FA cup final and we lost that. He wasn’t a bad keeper, but we lost the double to the RS so he doesn’t exactly give me happy memories......

I know, feel the same myself, however big Nev was injured for a large chunk of the opening to the next season and Bobby was a more than capable deputy, although never a Southall:)
