With the proviso that I didn’t believe the news about the Moskva when it first was reported, I can’t believe that - I mean surely after that incident they can’t have sailed a ship like that so close (a few miles off) to the coastline.

Cannot imagine it would be false flags as they are already balls deep in attacking the people of Ukraine

That power station is on an island in the sea of Japan, so you could fairly easily rule out Ukraine.

Surely it would be a fairly risk free Russian target as opposed to mainland Russia?!?!I don't know, just speculating

The only way Putin is gone is if the military assassinate him and that will only happen when they have been embarrassed and sent packing from Ukraine and realise that the next ‘purge’ will be against themselves. If the munitions start to dry up, and they always do eventually, then Russia and Putin are well and truly in the crap…..

I agree, he is not going anywhere on his own terms.

Ukrainian officials are claiming it now and they added +1 to the boats section on their daily Russian casualty updates.

Also some pictures doing rounds on Twitter of a burning ship. Still, not completely confirmed yet but we will probably know for sure soon.

It's a modern frigate as well.

If they've lost it, it says a lot about the defensive capabilities of the Russian navy, as well as the Ukrainian capability to strike from land.

I'm just not sure how they would go about it. If the fire is in the turbine hall they would need to be inside what is, presumably, a restricted buidling.

Maybe. They’ve managed to sabotage/set fire to a number of other Russian utilities so I believe they have the ability.
We will probably never know
