A large number of Russian BTG’s are at 70-75% strength. They have been propped up with raw conscripts and poor quality replacement equipment. Russia cannot keep losing manpower and equipment at the current rate of attrition so it’s no surprise that they want to end this soon and with the minimum acceptable criteria of a land bridge between Russia and Crimea/ Sea of Azov control.I've noticed the Russians keep complaining that the pace of negotiations is moving to slowly for them, surely they should be waiting till after they deploy the 'full' weight of their force to negotiate from a position of strength.
Unless of course the problems within their military are worse than what's been exposed so far, be interesting to see what affects the counterattacks have.
I'm pretty sure the Russian people are already aware of what is going on in Ukraine. They back Putin very strongly on what he is doing and there seems little evidence of this changing any time soon. I would expect any Russian tennis players would behave exactly the same. If they didn't they would be ostracised, or worse, back home.I think it's a mistake to ban Russian players from Wimbledon. They could be useful in getting the attention of the Russian people to what is happening.

I'd like to have the same positivity as you but for the last 8 years we've been supplying the Ukranians with state of the art weapons etc along with extensive training for their massive army. They've lost the important strategic city of Mariupol. It looks like Khersons gone and it doesn't look good in Donbass either.A large number of Russian BTG’s are at 70-75% strength. Ukraine just needs to hold on for another month, keep killing Russians and keep destroying their armoured vehicles and they will then have a much stronger negotiating position.
There's a lot of disinformation, influencing of votes and even vote rigging; Putin's regime has built a system where there's a natural lack of transparency. Not true.
Who is "we"?I can understand Zelensky and the politicians along with our media publishing narratives of heroism and how we're really giving it to the Russians but it all seems a facade. We're losing and quite badly.
All these Oligarchs are rotten and corrupt to the core, and utterly despised by ordinary Russians. I read that majority cheered over there when their yachts and properties were taken away in the West.Let’s hope this is the first of many speaking out......

They are indeed, yet the issue is that with their wealth and influence (many have ties to specific regions or industries) they could be used as leverage. All these Oligarchs are rotten and corrupt to the core, and utterly despised by ordinary Russians. If nothing else Putin gonna use this opportunity to remove "untrustworthy" Oligarchs, and majority of ordinary Russians gonna cheer for it, despite of course he is deeply in collusion with them.
Ordinary Russians have nothing to lose, and people with nothing hate seeing rich people flaunting their wealth. The “untrustworthy" Oligarchs have had their cosy westernised lifestyles severely disrupted, so rather than be in deep collusion with Putin, I really hope they’re secretly plotting his assassination. All these Oligarchs are rotten and corrupt to the core, and utterly despised by ordinary Russians. Everything I've heard or read says it is.Not true.
Are you Ukranian? As you keep using the term we.I'd like to have the same positivity as you but for the last 8 years we've been supplying the Ukranians with state of the art weapons etc along with extensive training for their massive army. The Russians look increasingly likely to have all of the east and South Ukraine because once they've got Donbass sorted then its onto Odessa.
The reality on the ground is extremely concerning and there's nothing positive apart from the odd Russian tanks or soldiers obliterated.
