Looks like Mariupol fell to the Z invaders ?
Should never happen. This is only one small scene in the entire sadness there and that poor kid and his family will never recover from this.A mother near the body of her 15-year-old son, who was killed on April 15 during the shelling of Kharkiv.View attachment 162655

Absolutely agree. What is happening in Mariupol alone should be enough for NATO/the west to step up.The weaponry and kit NATO have supplied has been helpful so far but it will not turn the tide.
We absolutely need to supply Ukraine with whatever heavy weaponry they need.
The argument against it in case it angers Russia is nonsensical, we are already supplying weaponry killing their soldiers.
It needs to be done with unity and agreement throughout NATO and quickly because time is running out for Ukraine. And after Ukraine, who will be next?
All of Europe has appeased or ran scared of Putin for years, we need to exert authority now.
I agree, I really do. Still, the argument is that the current weaponry provided are 'defensive', whereas Ukraine is asking for what could be defined as offensive. The weaponry and kit NATO have supplied has been helpful so far but it will not turn the tide.

Many'll ask what's the difference as in reality Ukraine will use them to help defend their soil? Yet, it's giving Ukraine the capability to attack across borders.
Politically, that's risky territory as Ukraine has shown it is willing to encroach on Russian territory, which again in my perspective isn't wrong in itself.
But what if it's US armour, UK missiles or Polish jets? Rightly or wrongly, it's how that may instigate an escalation, which NATO has tried hard to stop.*
There's also talk behind the scenes about a reluctance to share modern technology that may fall into Russian hands. We're stripping the vehicle we're sending!
This ultimately all comes back to the original rhetoric from NATO where there willing to assist, but only to a point where they don't put themselves at risk.
A NATO enforced no-fly zone would have crippled the Russians. NATO drones in Ukraine airspace would be invaluable. Artillery and armour would turn the tide.
But it's not going to happen unless Russia really cross the line, but look at Bucha - where is the line?
*Again, rightly or wrongly.
Even if Putin is delusional and thinking he is winning the war, the death off all these general must be having some hampering to his war effort and one can only hope enough to end this conflict.
I agree with all of this. I also don't think we'll act at all. NATO are letting Ukraine buy time for them. We'll only see in decades if this was the right strategy though I think history will judge us harshly. It breaks my heart to say this but all we are doing is delaying the death of Ukraine.
What we are currently doing is not going to stop Russia or save Ukraine.
I agree, all the chatter has been chemical or nuclear weapons would cross the line however that basically let's Putin act with impunity to massacre the population in whichever way he chooses.
Unspeakable acts of barbarity and cruelty are happening every day, this very moment. Children murdered and raped. Families tortured and murdered.
The line has been crossed long ago for me, the time to act is now.

One can only hope that Putin becomes aware, or even cares, about that impact. And about the operational effectiveness of his forces because based on the interviews he has given in recent days, he is convinced he is winning this war. I’m just afraid that means more indiscriminate missile attacks until all Ukraine is nothing but rubblesIt’s definitely going to have an impact, yet the problem lies in how their chain of command works: field officers can’t make decisions based on operational needs.
Their generals are making decisions that majors, Lt. Colonels etc. should be making, which means they’ve had to come to the front to get it done.
By killing generals and other staff officers, the Ukrainians will very likely have an impact on operational effectiveness.

Buy time and do the dirty work as Russian’s AF effectiveness is being reduced in terms of equipment, manpower and reputation.I agree with all of this. I also don't think we'll act at all.
