Ive got a Russian friend, I link him things and he calls it all bull, in his words "Dont believe what the Western media tell you", utterly brainwashed.
The deputy head of the Ukrainian president's office, Andriy Sybiha, said.......No he hasn’t. He’s not taken part in any diplomatic efforts to end the war, refused to give them certain types of weapons they asked for, and didn’t want to be a guarantor of their independence in any peace deal.
He has sent them British weapons, true (though worryingly there is still no reversing those defence cuts), organised some sanctions (the effects of which are still extremely questionable) and opened his mouth a lot.
The deputy head of the Ukrainian president's office, Andriy Sybiha, said.......
"The UK is the leader in defence support for Ukraine. The leader in the anti-war coalition. The leader in sanctions against the Russian aggressor," he added.
But this is all bollocks according to you, as you’re obviously better informed than Andriy.
I think everyone chipped in and bought him a space rocket and some nice shower curtainsWhat happened to him??
Ah, your usual condescending reply. And then in your next post, just just above mine, you’re now telling us “The Western, and especially the British, media really cannot be trusted that much more than the Russian media can.”I don’t know if you’ve ever tried this, but please read the post you are responding to.
If you did, you’d see what it was I was objecting to when Pete said the UKs support was “unwavering”. Our support is not unwavering and it has limits, quite clear limits as it happens.
When he does that, re link it with Al Jazeera or India Today, non western media sources but they normally post similar content.Ive got a Russian friend, I link him things and he calls it all bull, in his words "Dont believe what the Western media tell you", utterly brainwashed.

That statement is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in this entire thread. So what is happening in Ukraine? Do tell.
While I'm not suggesting that our mainstream media is the most fair and transparent, I do feel there's a sizeable difference between the two.The problem with this analysis is that he isn’t necessarily that wrong. The Western, and especially the British, media really cannot be trusted that much more than the Russian media can.
Really? Western Media is sometimes misleading but Russian news is on a whole different level. The problem with this analysis is that he isn’t necessarily that wrong. The Western, and especially the British, media really cannot be trusted that much more than the Russian media can.
There is no better example of that than Johnson himself, a man who is continually boosted despite a horrific record as PM and an entire career worth of lies. Even over Ukraine the focus has been on the toughness of his rhetoric rather than the effectiveness of what he has actually done, or even what is happening in Ukraine.
