I have, and I’ve read yours, and yours are quite disgraceful tbh.….

Well let’s see - on the one hand I am supporting peace talks that the Ukrainians themselves think are progressing well, and on the other you’ve spent three years cheerleading a party funded by Russian money, who twice ignored the murder of U.K. citizens at Russian hands, a party led by a person who ennobled Lebedev and who still hasn’t reversed his defence cuts.

So again, I think your posts are rather more pro-Russian than mine are.

No, you are just trying to blame the conservatives. They did not invade Ukraine, and they have done more than most of Europe in supporting them. You on the other hand would see the invader escape with a good portion of Ukraine , having destroyed a country and murdered its citizens. You can play any politics and word games you want with this but we can all see….

No, I am trying to point out that if anyone in this debate is pro-Russian it is you. What did the government you support do in 2014 when Crimea was seized and the two republics broke away again? Wasn’t it nothing?

What I want is peace, based on mutual talks between Russia and Ukraine that leads to an agreed settlement. That is after all how most wars end. After that, I want a secure Ukraine that can get on with its life in peace and freedom.

That is in their and our interests, and to be called pro-Russian for saying that is something I’d expect from you.

@Diogenes the Cynic nailed you on this and he was spot on. Everybody wants peace, but not at any price……

he wasn't, and thanks for not engaging with anything I said

You said most wars end in an agreed settlement. They don’t. They end with one party winning and dictating a settlement. Russia is now trying to get what it can having been kicked out of the west of Ukraine. You, like Germany and France would be happy to give away Ukraine’s sovereignty to an aggressor…unless you say otherwise of course….

No, I'd be happy for Ukraine to decide what it wants to do in this situation. Obviously that would prevent Johnson doing his Churchill cosplay, and prevent you banging your pathetic little anti-European drum over this issue, but that is a price we should all be happy to pay.

This has nothing to do with Johnson et al, just tell us all what you would settle for……

It’s right there pete - what the Ukrainians are happy with, I’d be happy with.

I see you’ve been backing the pro Russian candidates on the French election thread as well by the way…..

It’s unbelieveable that this could have happened in Europe in this day and age……..

Unfortunately the architect of this horror show has been busy putting plans in place for a long time. The article below evidencing some handiwork.

He does need to be dealt with IMO as I cannot see anyway that he will stop with this disgrace. The west has a true challenge to the post WWII order and I would hate to see what the world would look like should this authoritarian grab for power win.
