Does video show Russian prisoners being shot?

Ukrainian authorities investigate a video apparently showing Russian PoWs being shot in the legs.

In the most disturbing part of the video, three men appear to be shot in the legs at close range with an assault weapon.
There's been some debate on social media as to whether the footage is genuine or staged, with some people claiming there isn't enough blood, evidence of exit wounds or shouting and screaming from the victims for it to be real.
We showed the video to several trauma surgeons and former military doctors who gave us their expert opinion but wished to remain anonymous.
One said he had treated soldiers who had sustained gunshot injuries who didn't shout or scream and said the lack of bleeding on some of the wounded soldiers could be explained by them having had a tourniquet applied (visible in the video).
He said: "It is my opinion that the footage cannot be categorised as 'fake' purely based on the images seen. This requires an investigation for war crimes."
Another doctor said: "It appears genuine... these meet the description of punishment shootings to the limbs".

In other news, apparently there is another round of sanctions ready to go. I hope they aren't imposed whilst these talks are ongoing and in the absence of any fresh attacks.

But wtf are they spying on. We pose no military threat to anyone ? Our armed forces such as they are spend their time in UN peacekeeping and saving refugees from their dinghies.

The more time goes by, the more I am thinking Putins original plan is just the south corridor of Ukraine to create a land bridge to Crimea.

Start out claiming he wants all of Ukraine (which he probably does eventually, but not yet), then come to a truce where Russia just claims land along the coast, Putin has got exactly what he aimed for.

Funny though that the video has been geo-located by OSINT to an area SE of Kharkiv (Russia controlled).

Agree nothing conclusive but will require further investigation.

There is another video flying about that claims to show the rehearsal for the shooting - again inconclusive but very, very suspect.

I see Dominc Raab is bragging to all and sundry that Britain is leading the way in charging Putin with war crimes.
Now I am just a simple soul from the land of the bogs but I am not sure that threatening a physcopath who has the last word on using nuclear weapons with a life in prison when this is all over is a good idea.If it was me I would be telling him that when it's all over I would take him for a nice meal and a weekend away at a Warner hotel.

"Charging" him with war crimes is no different to Biden hinting at regime change as surely it has the same result? There's not a chance they can go in and arrest him as that's then a coup against Russia and an excuse for a wider war

Biden is an idiot and should be kept well away from making speaches. Macron had to put him down the other day saying it is unwise to do things to escalate the war either by actions or words.
Raabs comments are equally unhelpful, you should never trap a rat in a corner.

Saw this interview yesterday with Andrei Soldatov, thought it was quite insightful regarding Putin / Russian Security Services & Military. He cannot see Putin surviving this in the longer-term, which is hardly a controversial view in itself, but in the short-term it appears there isn't any sign at all of change from within and below.
