Ped from Toffee TV behind Contract Dave and behind Ped is the bass player from Placebo.
I got my rescue dog from an organisation that saves dogs from pretty grim fates in Eastern Europe, rehoming them in the UK. Anyway, I follow them on social media and they've been sharing what theyve been up to working with another group of animal saving types who are ex forces.
The ex military folk are going into Ukraine (in areas where there's fighting) and extracting dogs, cats, exotic animals etc from shelters and zoos in Ukraine before working with the animal charity to get them to their shelter in Romania. They helped got a lion out from somewhere today, ffs. There's that many cats and dogs left behind in shelters that have neen saved they're trying to build a new shelter in Romania on the hoof (and fundraising for it).
It's incredible stuff. Top work by all, but just such an eye opener into how much is disrupted in war torn conflicts. Poor animals, poor people.
"We stand with you". In my opinion, hollow words from Biden.
Defending Nato territories does not help the people of Ukraine.
If they continue to allow Russia to keep attacking Ukraine particularly civilian areas, which is where the majority of Russian attacks have been centred on, how will that help people *still* alive in Ukraine? It won't help them. It won't help the people already dead. It won't help the millions of people displaced. It won't help the abandoned or homeless animals. It's not stopping the further destruction of Ukraine. There is humanitarian crisis in places like Mariupol.
They know Russia, Putin, are waging an illegal war. An immoral war. Based on lies from a warped leader.
They know Putin, has committed war crimes. They know Russia, Putin, are not interested and never have been interested in diplomacy. A financial war, destroying Russia's economy and sanctions, may cripple Russia in the long run but it's not stopped the slaughter of Ukraine yet. When Biden says "we must commit now", mean it.

Ukraine seem to be performing very well. Let's hope that continues. We need Russia to admit defeat and to just settle for those 2 regions. Whether that happens is another matter but WW3 which you seem to want isn't the answer.
If you think its bad now, wait till you see what a nuclear war looks like.
I'm not sure Ukraine are going to settle for the 2 regions being handed over to Russia and I don't think it would be appreciated by those fighting for their country, and for those that have lost their lives.
I don't want a WW3 but I think it's sad to allow this continued destruction.
To be fair Biden has done far more than you have to help the people of Ukraine and by not committing direct military action against Russia hes also helping the other 7billion people on the planet.
Oh that hurts.

A large portion of those 2 regions have been under Russia control since 2014. That's the best case scenario at this stage.
The question is what Ukraine have up their sleeve to negotiate. But Russia are so far not entertaining anything they just keep attacking.

Imo Russia don't want to truly negotiate. Ukraine has already agreed not to join NATO yet Russia is still attacking even though they claimed NATO expansion was the reason for the war. This war will go on for a long, long time.
