You aren't saying anything new here. Do you think you are the only one in the forum who understands that war and geopolitics is both complex and hypocritical--this is teenage-level righteousness. And when you do say something it is a glib, superficial editorialization that is designed to draw attention to yourself and not provide any meaningful context. Maybe text more than 5 sentences rather than write "USA bad, Putin also bad" over and over.

My point was more the similarity between one major event happening which affects one group of people and people having a conversation about it, but some people fail to read the room and keep trying to make it about other people. That is the similarity I see.

I articulate more than just "usa just as bad of not worse" and even though I say i condemn Russia also. People just call me pro putin and disagree on the usa and nato part. So we can't get passed that.
If you say the forum is clued in on the hypocrisy then why don't people not just agree with me. And we move forward with condemning it with sanctions put towards usa and russia. The demantalisation of both. Cause people don't agree to that. We can't get passed this basic hypocrisy.

Well, at present one evil empire is doing pretty good at protecting a smaller country from another evil empire. So one evil empire is doing a little more than the other.
The USA has acted inhumanely in invading Iraq based on a lie and its continued drone attacks that kill innocent civilians under several presidential administrations, among other things. It's not difficult for me to recognize that.

If they (Ukraine) survive this, I think that’s happening anyway - as we saw here after 1945, you can’t arm most of the population, get them to suffer, fight, bleed and struggle together and then go back to the old ways where the rich run the shop and everyone else queues outside the dock gates waiting to be given work.
yea, not sure quite what people expect of America here. Caught in a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' kinda situation.
In my opinion, this is one thread where there is no justification for criticizing the US or NATO.
I'm no fan of massive military institutions of any kind but I think this war has brought the need for NATO in to sharp focus.
I also think it's quite naive to differentiate the UK or in @Deaths case, Ireland, from the US.
