Aren't all our views biased? I actually feel my views are pretty neutral on the whole situation and what I said was completely in context, not sure how you can dispute that, but OK I'm not here to argue about silly stuff or fall out with people. What I've said is my take on things, nothing nasty or hateful. As I said I feel I'm actually taking a neutral anti war stance rather than a biased one as I've lived somewhere affected by war so don't want to see it on a world scale. You don't have to like it and ofc feel free to disagree but even if it triggers you or whatever I'm still allowed to say what I think about a topic without being told to bog off to another forum/ thread.

OK mate. Not in here to fight with you. Was here to have discussions not egotistical battles of wit. You know my opinion on the situation and you disagree, that's fine, you're not alone on that. Nothing else to really be said about it. I just hope the whole situation gets resolved soon and we don't all end up in WW3 and Ukraine can go back to being an independent country.

Edit: again I don't know if you're acting like you can't understand in attempt to make me look silly but to answer your question - they're fighting a proxy war now because there isn't public/ political support for all out WW3 hence the point of drumming up support for it. Don't know about you but I don't want that.

I also wanted to point out that very few people in this thread have engaged in Russophobia, as you claim. In fact the majority of posts have been about the horrors in the Ukraine and anti-Putin. And there are been more than a few posts on the plight of the Russian people and the poor soldiers conscripted into this illegal invasion.

But just saw your edit and your claim is that NATO/USA/UK are using propaganda to drum up public support for WW3? That's an odd claim. Do you mean photos of bombed out Ukrainian villages and dead civilians are all a tool used by MSM (under the control of NATO) to drum up support for WW3?

Be angry at Russian govt /Putin by all means of course. I was talking about Russian people and businesses that have been getting targetted by knuckleheads across the world. It's not their fault and most are probably against the war. Regarding WW3 I think two largely unpopular politicians in Biden and BJ would jump at the chance to go in all guns blazing and be "war time" presidents/ PMs but it needs political and public support first. I hope its all sorted before it gets to that. I think we'll know within a month. I can't see the Russian invasion sustaining beyond that

Your relevant questions where mostly rhetorical jibes. I keep bringing up ego because you write in a constant point scoring manner. You still are now even with this milder post. I'm happy to discuss my views and listen to yours but I've no interest in point scoring /trying to make people look silly because their opinion is different.

And no I don't mean the horrors of war being used as propaganda and you know I don't especially when I've said I'm anti war. I mean media drumming up support for actions that will equate to WW3 like a no fly zone for example or reports that Putin will use nukes and chemical weapons etc when he hasn't yet and hopefully he doesn't. I believe in a peaceful resolution and I believe it can be achieved as I've already stated.

What about the working class people (or otherwise) in Ukraine who are having the crap bombed out of them for absolutely no reason other than the megalomania of a cretin who's lied to the working class people of Russia from the moment he sought power... and continues to lie to them, and lock them up when they protest and want to learn the truth ??

Fact is we are very, very close to WWIII. If Ukraine gives in to Putin’s demands now then he won’t stop there, he’ll take transanistra then he’ll come back for the Baltic states.

He wants confrontation with NATO, he wants WWIII. He’s really disturbed and dangerous.

The US and U.K/NATO do not want WWIII but are happy to watch Putin blunt his knife on Ukraine, to watch his army / Air Force collapse and degrade. So will continue to supply weapons, ammo, meds and intelligence to assist Ukraine.

The longer Ukraine holds out and the more it degrades Russias military then the better the deal they will be able to negotiate.

War is [Poor language removed] but Ukraine is fighting now for its future - they need to stay strong and the US, U.K. and the world need to keep supplying them.

Regarding the first point we don't know that for sure. Surely it's better to concede small regions of Ukraine who consider themselves Russian anyway if it gets him to agree to withdraw. If he reneged on that then WW3 happens anyway so makes no odds but it's better to try than not try at all.

I think it's wrong to fight a proxy war through Ukraine though even if it blunts Putins blade. Who wins there? Ukraine even with NATO weapons won't win without NATO actually going in so its basically using the Ukrainians as cannon fodder rather than trying to come to a peaceful agreement now rather than later when Ukraines decimated
