Seen a few pundits/ experts /those close to the situation over there saying that the two big things for Russia are:

Complete demilitarisation
Proclaim neutral status

Also Russia wants the Republics of Donbass and Crimea recognised as Russian. Zelensky doesn't seem opposed to this idea completely as it stands as he said, “we can discuss this and find a compromise on how people will live there”.

I think Russia can get these demands most likely.

It's more or less where this has to land.

The problem may be getting the EU/NATO/et al countries to ease off on the sanctions. Getting Russia to sign a peace deal will be difficult unless that happens, but legislators in Western capitals are under a lot of pressure to turn the screws. That pressure may abate as the economic consequences start to take full hold, or it may not.

I've heard this "both sides told lies" nonsense before somewhere.

It's important to realize that both Ukraine and Russia are telling lies. Propaganda is part of war. As you are intimating, it doesn't follow that those lies are equivalent in quantity or substance. One side clearly has a lot more for which to atone.
