they did let the Sumy evacuation take place today, and I think there was more from Kyiv and Kharkiv too without reports of attacks

Can't imagine Russia will be happy but its not like they will be able to attack a German airbase.

I am slightly confused though because I thought Russia said anyone who supplies planes will be considered a member of the conflict. US is clearly calling their bluff.

At this point who gives a crap if Russia is unhappy…..

Bet it's like being in a strip club for NATO right now. Drooling as they look at all those hapless Russian tanks and artillery lined up in a perfect row, just asking to be obliterated. "You can look, but you can't touch".

I mean they are the ones that the Ukrainians were flying anyway. I think jet planes have a long shelf life anyway right ? the F-16 was designed in the 70s

I think they're the only plane Ukranian pilots can fly hence why it is the MiG and aren't the Russian aircraft just as old?

these are MIG-29As and nearly 30 years old, so how much of a help they are going to be is a question

Aircraft age and capability are not the same. A 30 year airplane will have undergone multiple upgrades in equipment and technology, armaments and engines, it’s probably only the airframe that is getting on a bit….

It’s an awful decision. The only thing I’d add is whether Zelensky thinks he can win, and how. If it’s based solely on NATO getting involved at the level needed, that’s never going to happen. I am not sure the economic damage stopping Russia will either, tbh.

I think Zelensky can win this tbh…..

Plus MiG were made in 1970's first, not only. They're basically still making them, or were making the MiG29 up until a few years ago I believe.
