I can officially say that's not true. Emotions run high but is basically political postering.
NATO has slapped some EU-members on the wrist because of provocative statements and deliveries of jets. Cant believe I write this but the USA is actually the adult here.

Snake Island martyrs, they actually all alive after surrendering
Video of Russian tank running over the car, it was actually Ukrainian tank that lost control, pure accident

And countless other examples from both sides, as that saying goes "Truth is first casualty of any war"

Idm the Ukraine propaganda though. I can see through it and I'd rather their propaganda be everywhere on Western social media than Russian stuff.

You're behind, last tweet I saw about the ghost he had already downed 29 jets.

That's not denying the Russians are scruffs, had signifcant losses & the Russian government is run by mafia scum.

That's what they said about Grozny & Chechnya before he absolutely destroyed them. Probably the ''hardest men on the planet'', totally demoralised them with his bombs & now under firm Russian control.

If I were Zelensky, I would probably try for peacetalks. NATO-membership will always be problematic even without the invasion, EU-membership is attainable in the future. Being neutral isn't all that bad (ask Finland). Sometimes you have to let go of what should & concentrate on what can be done.

I think the difference here is that the Russian state sees Ukrainians as equals where they didn't/don't with the Chechens.

If the Russians take the country they'll end up having to put it back together. They'll need gain 'hearts and minds'. The fact is, it seems more and more likely that Putin has completely lost it and I doubt he cares anymore. Hugely worrying. There's absolutely nothing for the Russians to gain here now. I just don't see how they could possibly even attempt to govern the country.

Time will tell - however I suspect the attrition rate is way over and above anything seen previously involving a Russia/Soviet union conflict(with the exception of WWII).
