If UK people overwhelmingly support a military response against Russia (only within UKR) via protests or online referandums/polls, despite warnings about it consequences, would British army help Ukraine?

Good read. Found it interesting how he said at the end of the article that with the sanctions, it would only be “a few years” before the country falls on hard times. Is it realistic they can hold out that long completely cut off from the rest of the world? I hadn’t really seen anybody saying it would take that long to really start putting the squeeze on them.

Not sure if you are British based... WW2 is often peddled out for the flag waving facist as in UK stood alone . Having spent some time in Berlin pre 2010, was interested with the amount of Russians visitors and their obsession with the defeat of Nazi Germany good thing yes, but this was a different level of glorification, in what they term "The Great Patriotic War".
This is not war that is remembered in the same way as it is the West. They literally live it from early school years as if it had happened in the last decade, and I'm pretty sure its to install fascist beliefs. No coincidence Putin drops Nazi into his rhetoric when speaking about the Ukraine.

Same as we got here in my country (Croatia) where half of country fought for Nazi Germany and other half joined Partisan resistance. This divisions and who was on which side in 1945 are still here after all this years

People understand very little of Russia, particularly on this thread. That’s ok, but when trying to analyse their motivations and behaviours you can make severe miscalculations

If there's no Nazis, then agreeing to that would be very simple to say yes to.

The lack of logic here is astounding.

Russian demands for de-nazification won't be satisfied by anyone just agreeing and saying "no Nazis here".

Russia has falsely labelled Zelenskyy - the Jewish president of Ukraine - and his colleagues as Nazis. Russian demands for "de-nazification" are simply a naked demand for Zelenskyy to be removed from office and, presumably, replaced with a puppet regime of Moscow's choosing.

I saw some shots of Russian forces trying to maintain order in a Ukrainian city. Obviously they were being shouted at by a crowd but the troops weren’t under fire or in danger.

If they stay long term they may possibly just position themselves as an occupying force tasked with maintaining order.
