Have another try.

Say - a country bombs another invades another kills a million people+, then the same country argue it is defending another country because of humanity. Another country accused it of hypocrisy, and it says that's Whataboutism.

Understand it now?
 
So happy to see everyone in here who I clearly remember arguing for the Iraqi people, the Syrians, the Egyptians.

Now all suddenly so involved and invested in Ukrainians - same Ukrainians they cared [Poor language removed] all about before 22.

Bunch of hypocrites.

This might not be the thread you want to participate in. Your posts lack nuance and seriousness and you seem a bit wound-up. You can't seem to parse basic concepts like "recognizing attrocities happening right now" and "atrocities that happened in the past in other contexts that no one here would support." That you bring up the latter in the context of the former is the very definition of whataboutism.

You imply that obtaining awareness about a situtation (e.g., "the Syrians," "the Egyptians," "the Iraqi people") is somehow a problem in itself that speaks to hypocrisy. This is not a defensible position as all humans respond to new information as it is made available to them. If someone discovers an on-going tragedy happening in the present or three years after the fact, this doesn't change their moral position on the tragedy. Time-of-discovery generally doesn't have much to do with moral judgment.

You might just want to take another break from this forum. You aren't really thinking clearly.

Seen lots and lots of comments here about civilians, maybe I'll check bs k to 2014 as a fair few of the posters date back to then, see how many commented about women, children and old people being burnt alive inside a trade union building in Odessa by Azov and the military with the police standing by and some participating.

Likewise see how many people deplored Poreshenko when president stating that the children of the Donbass will be forced to live in basements - a threat be lived up to with the constant shelling for 8 years. How many commented on the valley of angels which contains the names of the hundreds of children killed by the regime bombing their own cities?

My guess is not one person in this thread who is now concerned with the Ukrainian people cared a flying [Poor language removed] about them when it was the eastern Ukrainians being killed by their own people. Similarly when you cheer on orks being killed realise a huge number are actually from the Ukraine - but have russian descent - which frankly west of Galicea most Ukrainians do have.

As an aside btw, Arstevic former advisor to Zelensky released a video were he stated 200k Ukrainians returned to Mariople the past year - why are they returning to a murderous russian regime intent on genocide Vs Ukrainians and lots of these are returning from abroad - I personally know several families who returned from Georgia.

Do t expect any serious responses, I guess I hope they someone at least my think about all this and look up the history.
