The National Audit Office states that just for re-locating Ukrainian families in the UK it cost well over £2billion.

As for handing over cash to UK arms manufacturers: do you think they do that for free and the public purse doesn't pay for it?

This is costing the UK an arm and a leg and we have genuine ingrained poverty here and is set to be maintained through the period of this parliament because billions are being thrown at that Kyiv regime.

All/some of that maybe be true but the UK isn't handing over 12bn to Ukraine. It's more nuanced than that, same as the US, the majority of financial packages announced stay in the UK/US or include loans that the UK or the EU are guarantee for.

UK arms manufacturers will also put a lot of that straight back into the UK exchequer.
