I like Mick but not sure I agree. In full with what he was saying

It was a failure of imagination of the Russians to see that the Ukrainians may launch an offensive across the border. The Ukrainians saw weakness and decided to take advantage of it.

Complacency is an enemy in any conflict or during war time.

1. This gives Ukraine a home produced deep-strike weapon, so no need for US/Western permissions to hit Russia hard.

2. This is a ballistic missile. Storm shadow/Scalp are cruise missiles. Ballistic missiles are harder to track and intercept, so a much better option for a deep strike weapon.

There is no chance that Ukraine will release any information on this weapon such as where it is produced

As that would just invite Russia to try and strike it.

I also expect that NATO may take responsibility for air defence of any electrical grid interconnectors prior to the winter

There are already NATO members with forces on Russia's borders and have been for some time. They joined NATO at their own request, for collective defence.

Hard to think of a more overstated set of claims than that.

Telegram is not Engima, and it isnt the main means by which Russia influences the world. Russian citizens are not going to be blamed for not cooperating with the French authorities over drug trafficking or paedophilia either.

Durov's arrest is (hopefully) more about reminding the tech bros that they are legally responsible for the material they profit massively from and that if they wish to continue profitting massively from their sites then they will have to assist cops when their sites are used to facilitate or commit crimes.

It's great news, however I think we need to be patient because it may not become operational soon. If they do get it working, I think some key factories will be hit.
