If they are there they are most certailny killing or trying to kill Ukrainians. Whether that is under threat or not is surely not the concern of those defending their home. There is also the possibly of some raping and the like on the way - that is what is and has been happening.
I’ve recently been reading All Quiet on the Western Front and it’s made me realise what things are like for the poor blokes who are dragged into war.
I do too mate but they need to find the courage to sort Russia and the Kremlin out, not attack Ukrainians. Until they do so they will get the short straw over and over.

I'm not sure anyone is gleeful at such things but the reality is that Russia are targeting Ukraine civilians everyday so they have no moral highground.
Neither do I. They call them Orcs and dehumanise them so it's 'not real'. But it's very real.
