Being reported now more widly now.

Vic doesn't seem happy though, as per the above.

You're more than welcome to leave, Viktor.

Just like the Greeks a decade ago, nobody is forcing you to stay.

It's high time some people asked themselves are they Europeans or are they Russians - because that's the de facto choice these days.

Some guy on 4 now mentions they can't replenish fleet as the straits are closed by Turkey. So with a rocket/missile ship knocked out by drone, when the jets turn up in a couple of months is there less air defence available to protect russian assets?

The cynical side of me says putin will wait until the moment the jets are in the air and about to hammer his troops before he climbs down and suggests talks. But how does that play then, Ukraine says we can talk when you've removed all troops and then get played as the war mongers not interested in peace. Suddenly some orange faced toad appears and promises peace in Ukraine and American dollars spent in America. What a move.

I remember my father, who served on the Duke of York battleship, telling me about the shock this caused in the Navy and the country. Our most feared ship, a freak salvo, munitions spread around the ship, 3 survivors …..
Give over, Hood was obsolete and Bismarck was the business. Want to go into detail, go have a look at the classes of shells used by both sides.
Hood laid down Sept 1916
Bismarck laid down July 1936
iirc it was Nelson or Rodney (both 1922) that were the newest and most armed in 41 when Hood copped a shell to the cordite. Ironically, when there ships were laid down they were obsolete, as the day of the carrier was born and airpower would supersede everything. Ego pushed for the dreadnaught when evolution into the skies had been the harbinger of their day decades previous. [Tirpitz was bigger than Bismarck][And Japanese Yamato 50% bigger again]

Glad you have read up and as usual run down anything about the U.K. Doesn’t change what my father said to me…..
