Using words like democracy. Lets look at the bosses selling that democracy to these country. Giving them mc donalds to comply with their way. Planting military basis in thier home. Do you think a majority of people of the usa a are informed and choosing to be exploited to the fact they fund trillions to the military. Where they work pay cheque to pay cheque cant live. If they get sick they are bolloxed. Minimum wage is outrageous. They get sick they are enslaved for life. You think these people who are the overwhelming majority are choosing that? Democratically?

Wasn't it President Lincoln who refused to acknowledge the confederacy as a country? He declared war on them and said he will do everything in his power to not let them become thier own country..

They recognised themselves as thier own sovereign nation. The fact you are telling me they are not. Is because the union and Lincoln would not recognise it. And declared war. ... kinda reminds me of something.

They were independent territories. They had commitments to the wider union and obligations to keep. Lincoln wouldnt let them. He did the right thing (though should have been far more brutal following their surrender).

If a bunch of states join up and call themselves a sovereign nation. That's what I'll address them as. No matter who is 'disputing' it. Especially when they democratically voted to leave.

If I like their politics or not.
 
I notice on that flight tracker site the USAF are in large numbers this morning flying over Poland, Romania, and Moldova, and the Black Sea area, F-16's, re-fuelers, spy planes, the lot. worrying times.

I don't think there was ever a vote held to leave form the confederacy.

They were independent states, but the confederacy was not a state, it was an alliance of states.
