A negotiated settlement, is the only way to stop more Ukrainian troops ending up in places like this. It's sad that working class people, yet again, have been conned, whipped up by right wing nationalism, hatred of all things Russian, into laying down their lives for an Empire's war, in this instance the US.. In an attempt to damage another country, Russia in this instance and wage trade war against another country in this instance Germany. It seems it'll rest with the Ukrainian people to take the matter into their own hands and get rid of the US puppet Zelensky.
This USA empire you go on about they administer about 11 islands around the world and havnt increased there mass since Alaska joined 1867 which they bought not conquered.
And Hawaii which voted to join .
Not doing a very good job of its as far as empire building goes.
Russia meanwhile in the same time has annexed many other countries and invaded countless others.
Think you have your labels a bit mixed up here.
The US has 800 military bases in over 80 countries. That's how it has built it's Empire to exert influence. The US Empire's view of the EU is, 'keep the Russians out, the Germans down and the US in'.
Since it's inception 200 odd years ago, the US has only 15 years when it was not involved in wars, organising coups and getting proxies to wage wars against countries that don't toe the US line. All to gain hegonomy. Which is now crumbling fast as they are being challenged throughout the world.
The US Empire knows only one thing in the end to keep it top dog - war, preceded by trade war and causing mayhem and chaos, military interventions as in Iraq, Syria, Libya Afghanistan etc. But it lost those interventions and is losing in Ukraine and the people of Ukraine are the ones to suffer, while the people in the US don't. Typical Empire building.
How would you describe Russia’s history? I’m no fan of the US but Russia has just as terrible a history.

They have bases around the world as well never mind the ones that have by proxy with so called private armies.
That list of countries the USA have lost in they basically.
They went in got rid of the government which was there aim and left didn't ever have the wish to take them over and stay.
So not empire building at all.
Even Vietnam was largely lost because of pressure from home, military look at the actual battles mostly they won The majority of them.
Russia is empire building not the USA.
The Ukraine hasn't lost either, and I suspect will be left as an independent country at the end of the war ,despite the best efforts of the blown up ambitious
Of the Russian army.
The USA has its faults all countries do but they are not the great Satan state you are making out , especially in contrast to Russia.

Yeah, there's no need to engage with that member. I'm not a frequently poster in this thread by any means but I do dip in daily and just see them continually spam outright propaganda whilst refusing to actually 'discuss' anything with people (on a discussion forum), and then just continually call for Ukraine's surrender and capitulation to an invading force.
If there's anyone on here I wouldn't want with me "in the trenches" so to speak, it's Lord Haw-Haw over here, desperate to give up. I hate to get all Brexity and hark back to some glorious past age, but can you imagine how World history would have gone differently if the Britain of 1940 was full of ramaccas?
