The true military cost of the war in Ukraine at the moment exceeds 1.5 trillion USD and the reconstruction more than 5 trillion USD. Of course you never hear that from the West nor IMF or World Bank. It would freak out the US,UK and EU taxpayers.

It's real impact is that there's now two members of the awkward squad inside the EU who join Turkey in NATO who wont lift a finger to inconvenience Russia...or at least they'll exploit the situation for national interests rather than fall in with a united-behind-Ukraine agenda.

And think they can take on a nato member with shortly one of the must modern army's on the continent.
Poland have been upgrading these forces at a rapid rate lately.
