I found out since then that the Ukrainians officially declared 25k amputees. Using that as a base line its pretty easy to extrapolate.

I’ve no idea, but basing your calculations on a figure from a war that had much more primitive medical knowledge and military medical services seems daft. Germany didn’t even have access to penicillin during that war, and most of the fighting was in the East where they were huge distances from properly equipped medical facilities.

People survive injuries now (with amputations) that they’d never have survived then.
