Trump was not referring to operational tactics, he was referring to the justification for the invasion. You made that up. ( If you didn’t, show me where he says that?)
A totalitarian state invades a democracy....are you with me so far?
Putin justifies it by saying Ukraine is “an independent state”. Trump says this justification is “genius”.

I didnt just name Biden. I also named a few other countries leaders.

The total inactivity and lack of any blowback or punishment is an absolute stain on them.

You cant just let Putin wreak havoc like this. Do nothing and be cowards and he wont stop...and neither will others.

TBF I think this is a bit harsh - yes, there is a lot more the West can do (not least in terms of clearing out Russian influence from our own countries) but they have done something and it will help.

For a start the sanctions will take months / years to bite, not hours but they will bite. Secondly the increased number (and more importantly, capability) of NATO forces on the border (and their presence there for years) is going to always be something the Russian government will have to keep in mind, especially if the Russians don't "win" soon.

Yeah I’ve heard snippets. Going back to my experience in the 80’s in Berlin, we were always told that your average Soviet soldier is crap. Don’t want to be there, don’t know what to do. Take out the officers first and they go to pieces.

We were told that most officers were rubbish and senior NCOs were those to deal with as they monopolised the unit; junior NCOs were poorly trained.

The worry is if they send in their top units to bolster the attack, but I genuinely don't know why they never did - a potential massive faux pas.

But with respect mate, you are talking about taking their assets and giving them away. I am not really in favour of that.

Its illegally gained money from corrupt politicians in the federation and the Duma.

You take that and give it to Ukraine.

Most people agree with this. But its not Biden v Russia is it? Your acting like he alone can stop Putin.

There needs to be a massive collective action otherwise its pointless. We have seen Italy carving out luxury goods and Belgium carving out diamonds from any sanctions. Germany worried about their gas, Boris not wanting to target his mates/backers.

Its exposing leaders for what they are. But I also understand the hesitancy in some ways. One wrong move by someone could lead to WW3.

As my last post stated and several others before I blame Biden along with the European leaders (whose countries i named) who have not imposed strict and real sanctions.

A number of posters wont have a bad word to say about Biden so decided to support him over taking action on Ukraine....while ignoring the other nations i spoke of.

Its a thread on Ukraine, while we watch their country be invaded by a foreign power leaving countless dead, injured and no doubt their lives destroyed.

Those leaders do nothing and their supporters will applaud them for it while watching atrocities unfold.

Its disturbing and horrifying.

Thats exactly what assets should have been frozen which would lead to the Duma and the Federation then putting pressure on Putin to cease the invasion.

Or of course an uprising.

Its black and white with these people who practice corruption...freeze their assets and if the war continues without them lifting a finger -- confiscate the assets.

Provide that capital to Ukraine.
