There seems to be reporting on what is happening in Ukraine, and then there is reporting. What I don't get is why wouldn't they want the public to hear more about Kherson from Anne-Laure Banse.

Actual = civilians in Kherson are subject to Russian imposed curfew so wouldn’t have been anywhere near the pontoon bridge. Attack was launched by Ukraine against Ruzzian soldiers who were running away (as usual).

Not sure how close they were, but yeah you can fire off an A-A missile without having lock-on.

Very rarely heard of it happening. Either it was a genuine weapons malfunction or they were genuinely trying to freak out our aircrew.

Now if they tried it again with a NATO fighter escort close by, under standard ROE the fighter escort would be clear to engage.
