At least there's an answer to "What do we do if Putin erases Kyiv?" "Minsk" doesn't sound like a great answer to me, though. That says, "Feel free to nuke away. We'll just nuke your friends in reply."
Sounds like a good way to get impeached. I can hear David Axelrod howling in protest.

That is interesting. It may be more of a statement of economic realities in China right now than anything else. It alternately could be recognition that they have Putin over a barrel, and don't have to provide political support in order to extract what they want from him.
Hopefully all the nuclear talk scared them, radioactive soil in a major grain producer is not going to be popular in Beijing
